Aspark’s Owl EV was challenged by Rimac’s Nevera through its speed and acceleration that triggered the former to set a new record.

Aspark, the company behind the Owl electric hypercar, sought to topple Rimac’s record.

On June 8, Aspark became a record-breaker of the top speed record of electric vehicles.

This record was set by Marc Basseng using Aspark Owl SP600 at the Automotive Testing Papenburg track in Germany.

After severe testing, the Owl reached the top speed of  272.61 mph, surpassing Navera’s record of 258 mph.

Not only did the Owl set new record for the eight-mile event but also in the quarter-mile event of the UK schedules.

Aspark consequently partnered with the Italian manufacturer Manifattura Automobili Torino (M. A. T) that contributed to the design and production of the Owl.

Some of the Rimac clients can reach high speeds, while it is unclear whether Aspark will provide the same. However, their achievement is quite remarkable.
